State Competition Registration Fee
The Tennessee Historical Society is pleased to announce that Humanities Tennessee, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing a sense of community through educational programs in the humanities across Tennessee, joins us as a presenting sponsor of the Tennessee History Day competition on April 2, 2011 at Legislative Plaza in downtown Nashville. Humanities Tennessee will underwrite a portion of the student registration fee for 2011. The previously set fee of $35 per student is now lowered to $15 per student. Humanities Tennessee is dedicated to developing a sense of community through educational programs in the humanities across Tennessee. An organization that began in 1973 with a focus on grant-making and cultural development of the state's museums and historical organizations has grown into a multi-faceted not-for-profit with two distinct focuses: studies of community history and cultural life and studies of language and literature.
